Welcome to our fantastic 5th grade

where we are enjoying science,

reading, and language arts.

Science studies include: matter, energy, force, motion, weather, the solar system, rocks, soil, fossils, landforms, weather, sun, Earth, moon, ecosystems, food webs, inherited traits, and behaviors.

Reading consists of short fictional stories, plays, informational text, chapter books, and poetry. It will be a fun year involving vocabulary, comprehension skills, and writing.

During language arts time each day, we practice grammar, spelling, and writing.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. My favorite activities are hiking, camping, watching sunrises and sunsets, and playing with our dogs.
